Infrastructure under Development

Macao Light Rapid Transit Hengqin Line Extension

The Hengqin extension project is a route connecting the Lotus Checkpoint and Hengqin Port. It is about 2.2 kilometres long and has two stations: Lotus Port Station and Hengqin Port Station. After the completion of the construction of the second phase of Zhuhai Urban Rail Transit in March 2023, it will only take about 10-15 minutes from Hengqin Port to Zhuhai Airport. This means that the Macao Light Rail and Zhuhai-Zhuhai Airport Intercity Railway  will offer a seamless transfer between borders. The distance between the two light-rail platforms is only three metres, enabling tourists to get to Zhuhai Airport from Macao conveniently.
